Birds in Helping Hands is a non-profit 501(3)(c) wildlife rescue and rehabilitation organization serving three counties in Florida: Pinellas, Hillsborough, and Pasco. Their goal is to serve the community with quick responses to rescue calls and questions. They work with five local veterinarians and Busch Gardens for more difficult procedures. They are passionate about the birds and wildlife as well as our community and want to help in any way possible.

If you see an injured bird, please call Shelley Vickery at 727-365-4592. Even if we personally know some
of their volunteers, it is best to call Shelley as she acts as dispatcher for the group, in addition to being a director. This information would be very useful for Birds in Helping Hands to locate injured
birds as soon as possible. We realize this isn’t always possible but any info is great especially photos.
